About Khadija Annual Award

The Bibi Khadija Award was inaugurated on November 19, 2015, in commemoration of International Women's Entrepreneurship Day. The award was established by Ms. Manizha Wafeq to honor and celebrate the achievements of women entrepreneurs in Afghanistan. It is named after Bibi Khadija, the esteemed wife of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), who was a legendary and accomplished businesswoman in the Islamic tradition, with Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) working for her.

The objective of this award is to recognize and showcase role models within the business sector. By highlighting the accomplishments of these women entrepreneurs, it aims to inspire and motivate the younger generation to venture into business, fostering economic activity and becoming the architects of hope, job creation, wealth, prosperity, and peace.

The Bibi Khadija Award is an annual event that follows a defined selection process and includes specific categories for the recognition of successful women entrepreneurs from across Afghanistan.
