Afghan Women as Economic Actors: Evidence, Challenges, and a Roadmap for Enterprise Resilience and Growth

Global Women’s Trade Caravan is proud to publish this nationwide assessment of Afghan women entrepreneurs, capturing their resilience, challenges, and determination to remain economically active despite severe restrictions. Based on 3,236 interviews across all 34 provinces, the report provides critical insights and a practical roadmap to support women’s businesses more effectively.

This report is a call to action. We welcome engagement from partners, donors, researchers, and diaspora actors interested in supporting Afghan women entrepreneurs. For collaboration opportunities or to learn more about this work, please contact us at management@globalwomentrade.org.
